Privacy

Basteon is built privacy-first. All your data is stored on your phone. We do not read, log, or sell your data.

Why this matters

Financial data leaks have grave consequences. In France, a tax official sold investor data to criminal networks. Subsequently, the French tax authority was hacked, exposing 678,000 taxpayers and their addresses. This led to physical attacks on investors, 30+ in 2025-2026 alone.

If a company has your data, it can be hacked, subpoenaed, sold or leaked. Security depends on the weakest link. The best way to keep yourself and your family safe, is to not put your data in a honeypot in the first place.

Privacy is normal. It's the reason we have locks, bathroom doors and curtains. That's how we're different.

How Basteon works

When you link a bank or broker, you give Basteon permission to retrieve data on your behalf. That data goes straight to your device. Our server passes it through but does not read, store, or index it. We use secure, regulated providers to connect to your accounts. We never see or keep your login details.

There's no email, first/last name or address stored on our part. We're a middleman to access and analyze your data. We can't look up your data even if we wanted to, because we don't have it. You control your data, and you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app.
